Man, I am whooped! I keep thinking that working out will get easier but nope...it feels like it's getting harder. But maybe I'm just pushing myself harder? I dunno. What I do know is that I'm now up to jogging 2/3 of 2 miles. I walk 1/8 of a mile and then jog 1/4 of a mile and alternate that until I reach 2 miles. I absolutely love and hate jogging at the same time. On one hand, it's a great work out, burns lots of calories, etc. but on the other hand it's SO hard. It's honestly not leg pain or fatigue...it's the breathing! Who knew that the breathing would take so much effort?! I had been doing the elliptical up until probably 6 wks. ago. Matt said something that really hit home for me a few weeks ago. He's been doing a lot of research on weight loss himself and stumbled across an article encouraging you to pay attention to the exercises that fit people do. The author noted that many people on the elliptical are bigger than people on the treadmill so because of this, the author encouraged the reader to start doing the same exercises if you want to be like those people one day. It makes complete sense, which is one reason that I took back up jogging.

I had a really wonky day so my GHG's were not good at all but I stayed under my daily point range. I had a client meeting at 12:30 p.m. (which is a terrible time for a meeting, by the way!) so I was going to get lunch right afterward but then changed my mind when all I saw was fast food restaurants in the area. Sure, I could have gotten a salad but I just wanted to get back home. I didn't end up eating lunch until 4:00! :(

I lost 2.9 lbs. this past week...that was even with AF in town! :) YES!!! My total weight lost since January 3rd is now up to 24.1 lbs.

I am SO proud of myself! I feel like my switch has finally been flipped and that I get "it". Even though I didn't post for a few days and my tracking was hit and miss this weekend, I still kept everything under control. Now I just focus on getting in all my GHG's and think twice about eating junk food. Sure, I still want it but it's not worth it seeing how far I've come. I still have a crazy sweet tooth so I keep keep low point sweets around the house like cotton candy, smarties, etc so I'll reach for something like that instead of chocolate. We have a crap ton of chocolate left over from Easter and I haven't eaten but a few pieces of it. :)

I'm done feeling sorry for myself because I have no one to blame but myself for being fat. The thing that is very intriguing to me is that despite weighing almost 230 lbs., I fit comfortably in a size 18 now. I don't think I was this comfortable in a size 18 at 218 lbs. a few years ago. I think it's because I've been so diligent with working out and keeping myself active. It's very exciting! :)

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before but 218 is my arch nemesis. That is the magic number that I get down to and get comfortable at but not this time. I'm tired of being fat and tired.

I can't wait to see what the number is by the end of the summer!

Today was less than stellar but I am proud of myself for passing up some yummy goodies today. This morning I arrived to work to be surrounded by the scent of Der Dutchman donuts...which were in the pod next to me and there ALL DAY LONG. They also happen to be my favorite donuts. Evil...just evil. And then tonight I had a client dinner. I made good food choices and I even skipped the dessert table, which contained these yummy treats:

The only reason why I was able to stay away is because I'm on a really good losing streak right now...I've lost 5 lbs. since last Tuesday. And...TMI...that's even with AF being here! :)
